WOW! Could things get crazier?!

Maybe I shouldn't ask that question. I know this is supposed to be the most wonderful time of the year, and usually I think it is. Right now though, man, it is crazy. We had puppies at our house last week, on Weds 12/10. We were expecting them, but they came about a week early. We had 3. One of them died that night, and another on Sunday. So now, I am running a puppy NICU at my house - during the most busy time of the year! It is totally crazy! I am a nervous wreck! What was I thinking to try to have puppies right now! oh well. She is really cute, and once she is more independent, it will all be fine, we just have some time to go before that happens. So as a result, my tree still is bare, no presents have been wrapped, my Christmas haven't been sent and I am completely exhausted! Oh well. That's life right? I will post pix of the puppy soon. I was having a hard time loading them from my camera. Lexie is doing good. More adorable - and mischevious! - than ever! It's so much fun to be a mom. Tim is still looking for a job, poor guy. That is not fun work. He had an interview that seems promising this week, so we are keeping our fingers crossed. It isn't nearly as much as he was making before, but it is a job, with benefits and a lot of opportunity. So we are praying that the right thing happens! I hope you all are having a GREAT holiday season! BTW - thanks to everyone who blogged with me about texting. I'm in good company it seems!

Something to blog about!

Well, I guess I am on a 2 month delay between postings! I really will try to do better. I guess I don't always feel like I have a whole lot to say. Same ole - same ole. You know. Anyhow - I actually had something to 'blog' about! Not just family updates, those will come too, but I had something that was driving me crazy the other day and I thought I would put it out there to see what everyone else thinks about it. So this whole texting thing. Everyone does it - including me. I am not saying that texting in general is bad - I just don't get the idea of having a long drawn out conversation via text. Call the person for heaven sake! I know people are sometimes in school or somewhere that they can't talk and they "need" to communicate with someone - so I get that. But I have seen and been involved with a number of texting conversations that are quite serious issues that need to be addresses and people are using text messages to communicate! I think it is a very passive aggressive way of dealing with things. I just don't really get it. Anyone else have an opinion on this issue?
