WOW! Could things get crazier?!

Maybe I shouldn't ask that question. I know this is supposed to be the most wonderful time of the year, and usually I think it is. Right now though, man, it is crazy. We had puppies at our house last week, on Weds 12/10. We were expecting them, but they came about a week early. We had 3. One of them died that night, and another on Sunday. So now, I am running a puppy NICU at my house - during the most busy time of the year! It is totally crazy! I am a nervous wreck! What was I thinking to try to have puppies right now! oh well. She is really cute, and once she is more independent, it will all be fine, we just have some time to go before that happens. So as a result, my tree still is bare, no presents have been wrapped, my Christmas haven't been sent and I am completely exhausted! Oh well. That's life right? I will post pix of the puppy soon. I was having a hard time loading them from my camera. Lexie is doing good. More adorable - and mischevious! - than ever! It's so much fun to be a mom. Tim is still looking for a job, poor guy. That is not fun work. He had an interview that seems promising this week, so we are keeping our fingers crossed. It isn't nearly as much as he was making before, but it is a job, with benefits and a lot of opportunity. So we are praying that the right thing happens! I hope you all are having a GREAT holiday season! BTW - thanks to everyone who blogged with me about texting. I'm in good company it seems!

Something to blog about!

Well, I guess I am on a 2 month delay between postings! I really will try to do better. I guess I don't always feel like I have a whole lot to say. Same ole - same ole. You know. Anyhow - I actually had something to 'blog' about! Not just family updates, those will come too, but I had something that was driving me crazy the other day and I thought I would put it out there to see what everyone else thinks about it. So this whole texting thing. Everyone does it - including me. I am not saying that texting in general is bad - I just don't get the idea of having a long drawn out conversation via text. Call the person for heaven sake! I know people are sometimes in school or somewhere that they can't talk and they "need" to communicate with someone - so I get that. But I have seen and been involved with a number of texting conversations that are quite serious issues that need to be addresses and people are using text messages to communicate! I think it is a very passive aggressive way of dealing with things. I just don't really get it. Anyone else have an opinion on this issue?

Happy Fall!

Happy Fall to one and all! Fall is probably my favorite time of year, and I am so exited that it is here! We have had a lot going on lately...Tim is kinda out of work again - with the way things are right now - there isn't enough work - so they put his employment on hold. He has been trying so hard to find something new - but nothing yet. It is pretty hard for him to be out of work. We know the Lord will bless us, so we just keep plugging away and praying the right opportunity will come along. Lexie is growning up SO fast! Last week I swear she said 100 new words! She is so darn smart! It is so cute and definitely keeps me on my feet! She is still the light of our lives and we are so blessed to have her. I hope that we can catch up with more of our family and friends during this fun time of year!

PS - I will post pictures of Lexie in her Halloween costume soon - she is SO adorable in it!

Ok - I'm a LOSER!!!

So I know it has been a LONG time since I have posted anything, which I have gotten plenty of flak for, so here we go. Not too much to report. Well, that's a lie, there is always A LOT to report around here. On July 12, we were made a FOREVER FAMILY when we got sealed to Lexie in the Temple! What an AWESOME feeling! Beyond words. We love her so much and could really feel the love our Heavenly Father has for each of us. We were floating on cloud 9 for quite a while after that. Then, we had a garage sale a few weeks ago to raise money for our fertility treatments. I learned a very important lesson - August is not a good month for Garage sales! Oh well! We were so blessed to have so many people donate items for us to sell. We feel very loved and know that we are SO blessed to have so many people in our lives that love us! Our families and friends were unbelievable with how much they helped! It will be a while before I do another garage sale! Then the next week, Julie and Tommy went through the Temple, which was SO cool! It was awesome to have all my siblings and their spouses (or almost spouse!) there in the Temple. It was amazing! Then Julie's bridal shower - which was so much fun! It turned out really cute and everyone had a good time. It was great. Amongst all of this, we have been doing our treatments, which is always an adventure, but that is ok. We are blessed to have this technology in our lives. Also, Tim is kinda in employment limbo. We have had some craziness going on there, but that's ok. If you know anyone who needs a great employee, let us know!

Ok - so that is the quick and dirty version of what has been going on for the last month and a half. I know, a lot to cram in to a little space, but when you have to catch up, that's what happens!

Lexie is all over the place! She has become a little monkey climbing everywhere! A few minutes ago, I heard her little chuckle, and I looked back, and she was sitting ON TOP of the table, eating olives from a can! Oh my goodness! What am I to do! Just love her more, I guess! She is just the darn cutest thing ever, so I can't get too mad!

Ok - I will try and update more often!
